Jo Pond graduated with an MA distinction in Jewellery, Silversmithing & Related Products, from The School of Jewellery, Birmingham, in 2005. She was very fortunate to have been awarded a bursary from The William Dudley Trust to enable her to undertake this period of education.

Jo attained her BA Honours Degree in Silversmithing & Jewellery in 1990, after studying at Loughborough College of Art & Design. She continued to design & make, alongside her employment at Loughborough University as a Silversmithing & Jewellery Technical Instructor, and set up her business 'Jo Pond' in January 2003.

Jo won the 2005 BDI Industry & Genius Awards in the category of Products and Genius. The award for her Narrative Jewellery Collection was presented by Kevin McCloud.

Alongside her practice as a studio jeweller, Jo is now employed as a full-time lecturer at the School of Jewellery. Jo is a member of Contemporary Applied Arts and the Association for Contemporary Jewellery.

Jo has undertaken commission work for a number of interesting clients, some of which can be seen on the Commissions page.
